what to do on salt spring
Take a stroll on a beach at sunset. Walk and shop around the downtown. Go kayaking or sailing. The options are endless...
Come to my studio at the front door! Handwoven shawls, wraps and handmade hats are right inside the B&B entrance for you to see. www.iridescentarts.com
This Spring and Summer 2013 I am teaching many textile arts classes on the weekends. Check my site for all the dates and prices: Textile Arts Classes
Salt Spring Studio Tour: hop in your car and tour the island's artisan studios.
Artcraft: is a local craft showcase open every summer. Filled to the ceilings with arts and crafts right in the town of Ganges.
Island Escapades: Kayak tours and rentals.
Market in the Park: attracts visitors to the arts and crafts, local produce and culinary fare.
Treehouse Cafe: the best restaurant on the island! (we think!)
Sacred Mountain Lavender: another of the lavender farms here.
Enjoy some of Salt Spring's renowned artisan culinary specialists as you tour around the country roads:
Salt Spring Cheese, Moonstruck Cheese, and Salt Spring Woodfired Breads - the Bread Lady. There are three vineyards on Salt Spring that give tastings: Salt Spring Vineyards, Garry Oaks Winery and Mistaken Identity Vineyard.
The Salt Spring Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for what is going on.
The Fritz Cinema screens about one movie a week. Check it out in the old church at Central.
We can arrange for some private yoga-classes for you to enjoy, or visit a few of the many yoga classes offered here throughout the year. Brochures and schedules available. Check the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga for longer class options.
